Caribbean Heritage Scholarship

The Ursula M. John Memorial Scholarship Foundation is proud to offer a scholarship to students of Caribbean heritage who have demonstrated academic excellence and a strong connection to their Caribbean roots.

Scholarship Eligibility and Requirements

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Academic Excellence: Demonstrated outstanding academic performance throughout high school or graduate studies, reflected in a GPA exceeding 3.0
2. Academic Involvement: Be enrolled in an accredited educational institution.
3. Commitment to Education: Display a strong commitment to education and personal growth, as evidenced by active participation in extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership roles.
4. Proof of Reason for Application: All students must demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
5. Meet Application Deadline: Submit a completed application with all required documents by the date provided.
6. Caribbean Heritage: While not mandatory, special consideration may be given to applicants who have a connection to Caribbean culture or heritage, as the scholarship aims to celebrate and support individuals within this community.

Application Guidelines

The application must be completed in full and submitted by July 31st, 2024. Winners will be announced and contacted directly by August 15th, 2024.

Scholarship Award

Four winners will be selected to receive a $500 scholarship each. The scholarship funds can be used towards academic tuition, fees, or other educational expenses.
